What I do
My passion to produce public programs and activate spaces has spanned well over 10 years. During that time I have served as the Director of Public Programs for Madison Square Park Conservancy, I am on the Board of Trustees for Astoria Park Alliance and I began my career in community engagement at Project Row Houses in Houston, Texas.
Every event is special and offers a new opportunity to do something exciting, inclusive and engaging.
LARGE-SCALE EVENT
PLANNING & MANAGEMENT
Responsible for $500K+ budgets to produce programming which includes music, art, family and horticulture events. Directly accountable for all logistics for events, including day-of operations, hiring of security, as well as talent and crew management.
Fundraising
Anything that benefits the community needs capital behind it. From artists to vendors, programs cost money to produce, and I’m well versed in raising the capital to put these programs in motion. I have experience in grant writing, fundraising events, and sponsorship acquisition.
Performance Curation &
Cultural Programming
Throughout multiple productions, I have hand-picked every artist and performance act to best engage the community. The utmost of care, research and consideration went into booking the best artists to make the event as memorable as possible.
Data-driven Strategic Planning
Deep knowledge of analyzing data, collaboration with community stakeholders, trustees and consultants to build strategic plans which best serve the ever changing needs of the NYC community. This kind of strategic planning has provided immensely valuable data to tailor the programming to any given community.
Partnerships
I have forged valuable relationships with non-profits, vendors and sponsors including SONY, Credit Suisse Foundation, LEGO, Eataly, NY Life Insurance, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and Taste of Home. I find the most long-lasting partnerships result in the best collaborations.
Permits & Licensing
Familiar with permit processes for NYC Parks, Department of Transportation, SAPO, and guidelines for city and local agencies. Music licensing with ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI.
