What I do

I’m a creative programs leader with over 15 years of experience developing engaging experiences through arts, culture, and community engagement. My work brings together creative thinking, strategic planning, and collaboration to create programs that resonate with audiences of all ages and bring people together around a shared purpose.

As Executive Director of the NoMad Jazz Festival, I lead the growth of a free, community-centered celebration of jazz in NYC. My career has included leadership roles at Edible Schoolyard NYC, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and Madison Square Park Conservancy, as well as consulting with ABCirque. Across these experiences, I’ve helped organizations advance their missions, build meaningful relationships with their communities, and create lasting impact.

I’m continually inspired by the creativity and innovation across NYC’s arts and culture sector, and I enjoy bringing fresh perspectives to my work. I value creative collaboration, big-picture thinking, and the process of turning ideas into thoughtful, engaging experiences that connect people and place.

LARGE-SCALE EVENT
PLANNING & MANAGEMENT

Responsible for $1.2M budgets for music, art, family, community, and horticulture programs. Directly accountable for all logistics, including day-of operations, marketing, evaluation, permits, licensing, and talent and crew management.

Fundraising

Anything that benefits the community needs capital behind it. From artists to vendors, programs cost money to produce, and I’m well-versed in raising the capital to put these programs in motion. I have experience in grant writing, fundraising events, and sponsorship acquisition.

Cultural Programming
& Education

Cultural programming requires research, consideration, and the utmost care to make the event as authentic as possible. Educational content is woven into each event through interpretation, curriculum, and workshops for all ages.

Data-driven Strategic Planning

Deep knowledge of analyzing data, and collaboration with community stakeholders, trustees, and consultants to build strategic plans which best serve the ever-changing needs of the NYC community. This kind of strategic planning has provided immensely valuable data to tailor the programming to any given community.

Team leadership

In my approach to team management, I prioritize collaboration, fostering a work environment where diverse strengths come together for collective success. I aim to create a dynamic atmosphere that values each team member.

Partnerships

I find the most long-lasting partnerships result in the best collaborations, and I carry my relationships wherever I go. I have forged valuable relationships with non-profits, cultural institutions, NYC Dept. of Ed, artists, elected officials, libraries, restaurants, religious institutions, and Universities.
